Height and Weight Restrictions
It is recommended that a horse only carries one 7th of its own bodyweight. Therefor for the welfare of our horses we enforce a maximum rider weight limit of 12 stone (76kg) fully clothed 5ft8 and under. This limit increases to 13 stone (83kg) for riders over 5’8″ (173cm). Please don’t be offended when we record your height and weight; it is just so we can provide you with a suitable sized horse for your lessons.
We are pleased that government guidelines have relaxed again and we are now able to use the indoor arena to teach under 18s in private and group lessons. Adults can ride indoors if they are booking a private lesson but unfortunately cannot book onto groups at the moment. If you are unsure about the guidance, please contact reception who will be happy to explain.
You don't have anything in your basket.
