Chief Executive Officer
The Board of Trustees of Stepney Bank Stables are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and inspiring individual to lead and oversee our much loved and needed children’s social development project. The Stables are located in the Ouseburn Valley and work with disadvantaged young people from the age of 8 to 18 years using horses as the means of positive engagement. The mission of the stables is to develop the emotional and social capabilities of young people, improve their confidence and self-esteem, and give them the skills to develop their employment potential. We facilitate an inclusive project and focus on engaging children and young people who are lacking in opportunity to help them develop their full potential. The successful candidate will be an inspirational leader and people manager, with an excellent knowledge and understanding of the third sector. The stables supplement commercial income with charitable contributions so experience of fundraising would be desirable. It would be beneficial, but not essential, for the new CEO to have some experience of horse riding and equestrian care however it is important they feel comfortable in an equestrian environment and be willing to develop their knowledge in this respect. Stepney Bank Stables employs a qualified equestrian and youth work team who provide high quality equestrian tuition and a safe, welcoming environment for children and young people. Potential applicants can contact Simon Campbell, Chair of Stepney Bank Stables, for an informal discussion at firstname.lastname@example.org. Prospective candidates are also encouraged to visit Stepney Bank Stables.
