Stepney Bank Stables is open 7 days a week and evenings until 9pm.
Stepney always has loads of fun activities going on all year round. Keep on reading to find out more about what you can do at Stepney Bank Stables. Please be aware that our weight limit for riding is 13.5 stone. Please don't be offended when we record your height and weight; it is just so we can provide you with a suitable horse for your lessons. We regularly update our records every 6 months.
Group lessons
Group lessons start at level 1 and go up to level 5. To download a description of what is included at each level please click here. Monday evening group lessons are taught by Olivia; Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday by Zoe, Thursday by Tracey. Saturday group lessons are taught by Zoe in the Morning and Tracey in the afternoon. Fran teaches the Sunday group lessons.
Jumping Lessons
We have beginners jumping lessons on Thursdays at 5pm, an intermediate lesson on Tuesdays at 6.15pm and an advanced lesson for those wishing to progress their skills further on a Friday evening at 7.15. Jumping can also be taught on private lessons in the indoor arena, just ask your instructor if you’d like to give it a go!
Private lessons are available during the day with Fran or Denise. Lessons start from 10am. We also offer private lessons on a Monday evening with Zoe, on a Saturday morning with Olivia, Saturday afternoon with Zoe and Sunday with Suzanne.
Pony Club
Stepney Bank Stables is a registered centre with The Pony Club of Great Britain. The Stepney Bank Stables Pony Club currently runs every Tuesday (for children aged 10 and over) and Wednesday (for children aged 5-10). Sessions run from 6.30-7.30. Advanced booking essential for this popular activity.
The Pony Club has proved to be a great way of bringing like-minded young people together to learn whilst having fun.
The Pony Club is a great place for young people to learn horsey skills which will take them into volunteering or even employment.

Pony Academy
Available every Saturday and Sunday 9.30am – 3.30pm for 8-12 year olds. Mid week days during the school holidays are also available on demand (contact Sara). Mini assessments provide clear progression routes, boosting confidence and self esteem. Assessments are rewarded with rosettes and certificates. It is a great way to make new friends and enables the participants to share their enthusiasm with like minded children.

Group size is limited to 6 young people to maintain supervision and quality levels so book early to avoid disappointment!
Birthday Parties
Birthday parties are available at Stepney and are perfect if you are struggling for ideas or want to do something completely different to make your child's party a memorable one! The birthday boy or girl and up to five friends can come along and spend some time meeting, patting and grooming our ponies then spend the next hour riding their new equine friends! Or you may wish to get straight on with the riding and opt for a riding only party, in which case our staff team will have the ponies sparkling and ready for guests to mount up and have fun! Parties are available on Sunday afternoons and during school holidays. Please call for further details. All riding takes place in our indoor arena so rain will not spoil the party fun.
Group Bookings
Stepney Bank Stables offers group visits to schools and community groups looking for extra – curricular activities with a difference.
We limit the numbers to no more than six, however if your group is larger than six we can divide the riding time so half the group can ride while the others watch or we can offer additional activities based around horse care.

Cancellation Policy
Lessons need to be paid for at point of booking. If you cancel with 3 days notice or more the full lesson price is refundable. If you cancel with 1-3 days notice 50% is refundable. If less than 24 hours notice is provided then no refund is given.
