Stepney Bank Stables was honored by ‘Her Majesty The Queen’ with the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Award 2003.
Staff were invited to Buckingham Palace to celebrate the success of the only charity of its kind.
The scheme brought praise from the leading charitable umbrella groups, such as ‘Newcastle Council for Voluntary Service’ which called it “a fitting way to recognise the valuable contribution to our society provided by voluntary and community organisations.”
The award aims to bring the entrants national recognition year after year, and is open to all UK Charity Organisations. This is an opportunity for everyone to celebrate the outstanding achievements charities make to our communities and the vital role played by hundreds of thousands of volunteers.
