Trip To Racing School
posted on Monday 14th June, 2010
During May half term a group of 10 Stepney teenagers visited the British> Racing School at Newmarket to get a taste of what it would be like to
> attend the school and have a career in racing. The Racing School staff
> were extremely welcoming and organised a packed schedule of activities
> including a trip to the National Stud, a trainer's yard and the Racing
> Museum. We also got to see the students at work caring for the 75 ex
> racehorses at the school and learning how to manage them on the gallops.
> The Racing School offer a 9 week course which is completely free of
> charge with a guaranteed job on a racing yard at the end of it. By the
> end of the 2 days we were all inspired and are hoping to practice some
> pony racing with our ponies over the summer holidays. Check out our
> facebook page to see the photos of our lovely trip.
