Stepney Bank Stables offers the highest quality riding lessons to suit all ages and abilities with a superb team of instructors to help you achieve your goals. Our first class facilities, superb indoor arena and hand picked equines are available for both group or individual lessons. From absolute beginners to those with a lifetime experience lessons are tailored to meet all needs and standards.

Private one to one Lessons
These are individual sessions with your chosen instructor. They can be for any length of time but you need to remember that they can be quite intense. These lessons are the most effective way to learn to ride but also the most expensive. Most people chose to have a combination of private and group lessons. Alternatively you may wish to book private lessons as a birthday or Christmas present or to provide additional support for exams.
Group Lessons
These are class lessons which are graded according to your ability. Beginners start at Level 1 and work all the way through to Level 5. You will be assessed on your first visit to Stepney and will need to give a brief description of your previous ability when booking.
Class lessons will have no more than 8 riders, (or 5 in a Novice), to maintain the quality.
Adult Lessons
Adults are quite welcome to join in our general classes and indeed many do. Others however prefer to ride with others of a similar age and ability. For this reason some of our lessons are ‘adult only!’
