charitable criteria

Priority Members are people who meet our charitable objectives and can therefore benefit from a subsidized rate and free Young Helpers Scheme. There are 5 criteria under which members can be deemed eligible.

  1. Persons who live within the boundaries in one of the top 15% deprived wards in the North East region.
  2. Persons who have a Council Leisure Plus Priority Card, this will also entitle any dependants living with them to be a Priority Member.
  3. Children in care or within 2 years of leaving care.
  4. Children who are referred’. SBS needs to identify the referrers, and those who are funded by an agency who would therefore be able to pay.
  5. Children from Thomas Bewick, Kenton Bar Special School or Trinity School.
